Transferring Credit – That’s Our Thing!
We absolutely accept college credits from your previous institutions, and that includes credits that may be a few years (ok – even a decade or two) old. As part of your admissions process, we’ll look at each class you’ve taken (listed on your official transcripts) to determine which courses will transfer into your preferred major, and how many credits you have left to earn at Marylhurst. We can also help you with transferring credits from international institutions.

Final determination of how your previous courses will transfer into Marylhurst is done after you are admitted. Shortly after you receive your admit notification, we will complete an official transfer evaluation. You’ll receive an email linking to your personalized Advising Worksheet, so you can see how your transfer credits have applied to your degree requirements.
Graduate Transfer Credit
Are you applying to a graduate program at Marylhurst? If you have graduate-level coursework already under your belt (aka – on your transcript), some of your courses may transfer into your grad program. When you apply, your transcripts will be evaluated to see if any credits qualify for transfer.
