Post-graduate Certificate
in Art Therapy

The only University in the Pacific Northwest with an accredited Master of Arts in Art Therapy Counseling program approved by the American Art Therapy Association, Marylhurst University attracts students from around the world.

In addition to its esteemed master's program, Marylhurst offers several programs for degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking art therapy students. All are designed to prepare students to help others, integrating the creative process with counseling and psychotherapy.

Post-graduate Certificate in Art Therapy

The Post-graduate Certificate program was designed for students who hold a master's or doctoral degree in a related field and would like to become a registered art therapist (ATR). In this program, students complete a 720-hour clinical practicum and all coursework necessary for pursuing the professional ATR designation.

Previously completed coursework may be eligible to be applied toward the certificate requirements. Contact an Art Therapy Counseling advisor to arrange a transcript evaluation.
