Buy a Brick CampaignDeadline extended to July 7, 2008 Honoring the Past, Embracing the FuturePave Pathways to the FutureWe invite you to participate in the Marylhurst University Buy a Brick Campaign - a project that will forever link your name to Marylhurst. Friends, faculty, staff and alumni will have until June 30, 2008 to help celebrate their relationship with Marylhurst as our Renaissance Campaign comes to a close. This $20 million campaign focused on renovating and restoring Marylhurst's historic 1929 campus to make it safer, more convenient and technologically advanced for students. This date also marks the retirement and honors the career of University President Nancy Wilgenbusch, who has served Marylhurst and the community for 24 years. You can help Marylhurst build on its past accomplishments and future contributions to its students by making a lasting impression at the University. Donors will help pave the paths connecting St. Anne's Chapel, Shoen Library, B.P. John, Clark Plaza and Clark Commons with bricks. Benches and antique lamp posts are being placed along the new paths and other locations around the campus. Your support of a brick, bench or lamp post will be a permanent reminder of your partnership and involvement with Marylhurst. Enduring Gift IdeasSponsoring a lamp post or bench or purchasing a brick makes a wonderful gift for all occasions, from graduation to weddings and anniversaries. This lasting tribute can also be made to honor a loved one through memorial or dedication. With a lamp post or bench, generations will read your dedication in honor of, or in memory of, a loved one. Sponsor RecognitionFor brick sponsorships, names of contributors will be etched permanently on a donor recognition monument that will be installed near Shoen Library. Those who sponsor benches and lamp posts will have personalized recognition plates permanently placed on the fixture. The recognition plates will have room for three rows, with up to 27 characters in each row for a name or a favorite quote, or to honor or memorialize a special person. Bench and lamp post sponsors will also be recognized on the donor recognition monument. | |||||||
