Fall Term Concert: Holiday Magic
For the first time, the Marylhurst Concert Chorale and Madrigal and Chowder Society of Mary's Woods are combining forces.
Under the direction of Dr. Maria Manzo, the "new" Marylhurst Chorale will present a diverse program of Thanksgiving and Christmas music including:
- For the Beauty of the Earth by John Rutter
- African Noel by Andre Thomas
- This Little Babe (from Ceremony of Carols) by Benjamin Britten
- Christmas was Meant for Children, arranged by Hawley Ades
- In the Beginning (from A Sacred Cantata) by Michael Kissinger
Rounding out the evening will be lively holiday spirituals and gospel music.
