Dr. Libby Dawson Farr

Join Dr. Farr and learn about the rescue of an historical home built by Pietro Belluschi. Belluschi is recognized as designing the first modern skyscraper, Portland's Equitable Building, and for the design of the Portland Art Museum.

Farr will tell the engaging story of one of Belluschi's smaller project—a unique 900-square-foot Lake Oswego home built for a newlywed couple who called it home for more than 50 years.

She will also share her excitement about the opportunity for the Art & Interior Design Department at Marylhurst to be able to utilize the Belluschi house as a teaching and learning resource.

In addition to teaching at Marylhurst, Farr is often asked to write about buildings being nominated for City of Portland Landmark status, and nominations for houses and buildings for National Register of Historic Places, U.S. Park Service,
