Cultural and Historical Studies is informed by current theories and methods from philosophy, literary theory, social sciences, social history, media studies, gender studies and film. The department offers a variety of courses in cultural, historical and philosophical topics, and is the home of history, social philosophy and language courses at Marylhurst University.
