“We are nationally recognized as having one of the best clinical training music therapy programs. Our music therapy students gain practical experience, become part of a community of learners and succeed in their goals. I love that our students are highly engaged, socially aware and committed individuals. They come to Marylhurst to learn a craft and leave knowing they are going to of service to their community. For me, that makes teaching at Marylhurst such a rewarding experience. I enjoy the dynamic exchange of knowledge, wisdom and experience between instructors and students. It surprises students to hear that I’m always learning from them. All around, this is such an amazing music therapy program and each year at commencement, I love seeing our graduates go off and become the next generation of music therapists.”
