Rhetoric & Teaching Concentration
Students majoring in English Literature & Writing with a concentration in Rhetoric & Teaching will:
- Demonstrate familiary with current scholarship on composition pedagogy and rhetorical theory;
- Demonstrate, through coursework or writing projects, an understanding of the processes and conventions of professional writing; and
- Gain experience in tutoring and working with students engaged in the composition process.
Tutoring Experience
Rhetoric and teaching students often learn from practical experience in Marylhurst's Writing Center.
