Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Help Desk Assistants are the first contact for most technology related issues with the entire Marylhurst Community. You will be a member of a dynamic and fun team that loves to provide service to others! Help Desk Assistants are responsible for providing first level tech support with university technology including things like Google Apps, computer labs, and classroom A/V.  Projects and other duties may be assigned as available.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

The most important qualification is excellent customer service and a great attitude. We also prefer some ability to troubleshoot various hardware and software issues, including PC and Mac operating systems, printers, various web browsers, Microsoft Office and Google applications. You will be expected to be accurate, detail oriented, and able to provide feedback and suggestions.

Requests for assistance are typically received in the form of phone calls, email requests, and walk-in customers. Thus, this position requires excellent verbal and written communication. This includes the ability to convey technical terms and procedures to non-technical people.

This position requires that the candidate be punctual, have a diligent work ethic, be able to responsibility handle sensitive data, follow internal procedures, and work independently and in a team.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Hours:
Actual schedule will depend upon the student’s availability and Federal Work Study Award, with shifts available during these windows:
Mon – Thurs: 8:30a.m. – 7:00p.m.
Fri & Sat: 8:30a.m. – 6:00p.m.
No weekends.

Wage:
Starting at $12/hr based on skills and experience
