Mother Flavia Dunn Award
The Mother Flavia Dunn Award pays tribute to an individual who has, through long and faithful service, given outstanding support and encouragement to Marylhurst University and its educational mission, and who has contributed unselfishly of time, energy and resources to the institution. The recipient is also honored for extraordinary support to civic, cultural and educational organizations and for consistent efforts, both professionally and personally, to extend and elevate educational opportunities for men and women regardless of age, race or religion. All are principles exemplified by the life of Mother Flavia Dunn, who urged the establishment in 1893 of Marylhurst University, and in whose memory this award is presented.
