SAT Prep WorkshopIn 2005, the SAT was revised to include a mandatory essay. This course prepares students to take the current SAT, covering writing, critical reading and math skills. LRN 009 SAT PrepResearch suggests that learning test-taking skills does improve test scores. This course is designed to provide those skills to junior and senior high school students who plan to take the SAT. Students will learn how the SAT is constructed and how this information can be used to improve test scores. Emphasis will be placed on applying effective test-taking strategies to improve examination scores. Homework on practice tests will be part of the course. Non-credit. InstructorsJohn Oppedisano, a mathematics specialist, and Brian Christopher, a reading, verbal and critical thinking skills specialist, co-teach the course. Both are experienced instructors who have designed and taught SAT Prep courses for several years. | |||||||
