Integrated Learning Modules

Integrated Learning Module (ILM) courses are thematically focused classes, delivered primarily over the Internet.

Students may take an ILM course as a three-credit, six-credit or nine-credit course, registering and paying for only the outcomes/credits they need.

The course content is integrated and comprehensive, creating a unique perspective on course themes, without the potentially repetitive requirements of separate, stand-alone courses.

ILM courses are facilitated by content experts in each area.

Example ILM Course

Reading the Genome: Identity, Politics and Biotechnology in the 21st Century

In June 2000, the "draft" of the human genome sequence was completed. How the information from the genome is interpreted – and by whom – will determine the social implications of this enormous biotechnological event. This interdisciplinary course will examine some of the scientific, political and ethical implications of the new understanding of human identity.
