Options for Meeting
Liberal Arts Core Outcomes

Students seeking a Marylhurst University bachelor's degree must complete the Liberal Arts Core (LAC) requirements, also called LAC outcomes.

There are a number of ways in which students may meet these outcomes, including taking the courses at Marylhurst, transferring comparable coursework from other institutions, earning credit through the Prior Learning Assessment Program, direct course challenge, credit by exam and non-credit outcome assessments.

These options are especially useful for students with a lot of transfer credit and/or whose remaining credits must be at the upper division level.

To determine the best approach to meet the LAC outcomes, discuss your options with your advisor.
