Certificate Requirements

If you already hold a bachelor's degree, you may wish to pursue the Gerontology Certificate at the graduate level, as part of the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Program. Contact Marylhurst for more information.

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 21 quarter credits
Required Courses 12 crs.
Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Aging
Embodiment in Later Life
Theorizing & Researching in Gerontology
Gerontology: Synthesis & Action
Additional Gerontology Courses min. of 9 crs.
Choose any three of the following:
Psychosocial Aspects of Aging
Senior Power, Politics, & Policy
Social Systems in Later Life
Women's Issues in Aging
Communication & Aging
Special Topics in Gerontology
TOTAL min. of 21 crs.
