MBA Admission Requirements

  • Application and fee
  • Résumé
  • Two letters of recommendation (at least one from an employer)
  • Official transcripts of undergraduate and graduate coursework
  • Application Essay (see details below for what to include) 
  • Admissions interview

Applicants with fewer than five years of relevant work experience must have either:
- undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher, or
- GMAT results taken within last two years

Note: International Students have additional admission requirements.

THE APPLICATION ESSAY

The Application Essay is is a three- to five-page document to help us understand your experiences, accomplishments, goals and written communication skills.  In a well structured essay, address all of the following:

  1. Describe an important professional experience and what you learned from it. 
  2. Describe your life goals. 
  3. Describe how a Marylhurst MBA will help you achieve your goals.

Transfer Credit

Transfer credit of up to nine quarter credits from an accredited graduate business program taken within the last five years prior to admission may apply towards the MBA degree.
