Welcome...
M Review, an annual journal of contemporary literature and visual art, is run by the students of the English Literature and Writing department at Marylhurst University in Marylhurst, Oregon. The journal, which made its debut in 2002, features a fresh and eclectic selection of poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction , social commentary & satire, and visual art by both emerging and established artists. In this year's issue, we are pleased to feature an exclusive interview with established author and educator, Marjorie Sandor. She teaches creative writing and literature at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon and is an award winning author of numerous short stories, essays, and books, including her recent, "Portrait of My Mother, Who Posed Nude in Wartime."
We encourage readers to review our archives for a selection of over 90 talented writers, artists, and photographers. Each issue is available online in our Past Issues section.
Submissions of poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction, social commentary & satire, and visual art & photography are accepted from late September through early January. Refer to our Contact Us & Submissions section for details and submission guidelines.
