Teaching Style

"I focus on the Suzuki method and endeavor to apply this philosophy in my teaching. I work with each student to help them learn the skills and techniques they will need to love music and to make playing the violin an enjoyable experience. I also enjoy teaching older students who have participated in school string programs, but have never had private lessons. Sometimes this requires a different approach in teaching and may differ considerably for each student. I try to be flexible in my teaching and feel we need to consider the individual needs of each student, taking into account where they are at, and what their individual goals are."
