Concertized as soloist and chamber musician in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Formerly on the faculties of Lewis & Clark College and Portland State University.
Founding Conductor and Music Director of the Portland Festival Symphony and Metropolitan Youth Symphony.
Principal Second Violinist of the Oregon Symphony for 27 years.

Personal
Born and raised in Hungary, Lajos Balogh received his first violin lessons from his father at the age of 3½.
Settled in the United States in 1967, and has taught at Marylhurst since then.
