St. Anne's Chapel

St. Anne's Chapel is the first building to greet visitors to the Marylhurst University campus. The chapel is surrounded by open, grassy fields and large evergreen trees.

Inside, the chapel is bright and spacious. The aisles, flanked by colorful stained glass windows, lead to the chapel's expansive stage featuring the stunning Fred and Maybelle Clark Macdonald Pipe Organ. A skylight in the high ceiling provides natural light during the day.

Facilities

St. Anne's seats 325 patrons. The chapel features track lighting over the stage area, a quality sound system, an ample foyer, numerous exits, restroom facilities and free parking adjacent to the building.

A Generous History

St. Anne's Chapel was built in 1968 with a donation from Julianne Roller, an instructor of Latin and German. Although she taught at Marylhurst only one year, she later said it was one of her best years in a lifetime of teaching.

During a visit to Boys Town, Nebraska, Ms. Roller was so impressed with the chapel there and its generous benefactor, she dedicated her life savings to the construction of St. Anne's Chapel.
