Marylhurst's 2013 commencement ceremony will be held in the Portland Ballroom of the Oregon Convention Center. Located in a private corner of the center, the space is small enough to maintain an intimate environment while still offering enough seating for as many guests as you choose to invite. The convenient location offers ample on-site parking and easy access to MAX and bus lines.

to be a part of the processional.

For master's and bachelor's candidates Marylhurst's baccalaureate is a Catholic Mass celebrated to give thanks for the achievements of the graduates, to ask God's blessing on their future and to honor the event of graduation.

All bachelor's and master's candidates are invited to attend. Graduates are encouraged to wear their caps and gowns. Family and friends are welcome, but please be aware that space is limited.

Graduation Celebration and Reception

Commencement Ceremony

Graduates should arrive by 9 a.m. outside Room 141 (one floor below the Portland Ballroom). The ceremony will last about two hours. No tickets are needed. The ceremony is free and you may invite as many guests as you like. Be sure to bring your cap, gown and tassel. Beyond that, the less you bring to the ceremony the better. Have a friend of family member hold your purse or bag.

Balloons are not permitted inside the Oregon Convention Center. Please advise your guests not to bring balloons.
