Two resource seminars: Seminar in research design leading to formulation of a dissertation/project topic proposal Frontier seminar focusing on a contemporary issue at the cutting-edge of the church's mission; Candidacy interview with faculty team evaluation leading to advancement to candidacy on approval of dissertation/project topic on recommendation of interview team. |

| Dissertation/Project Seminars (September-May) Marylhurst campus |
|
| Minimum of six days of seminars focused on the dissertation/project of each member. Students then begin work on dissertation/project. |

| YEAR THREE Dissertation/Project |

| The student takes full initiative to plan, seek approval for, and implement a study and action plan within their ministry. Student submits completed Dissertation/Project to SFTS Advanced Pastoral Studies committee for evaluation. |
