Library CardsA library card is required to borrow materials from Shoen Library and Summit libraries. Your Marylhurst University ID is your library card and your account number is your Marylhurst ID number. The Registrar's office issues ID cards. Information for StudentsUpon registering for classes, a student's library account will remain active until the first day of the following term. Students who are enrolled in courses are considered "current students," and they may use Summit and access the research databases from off campus. Students who are not enrolled in courses may still use library resources on campus and borrow Shoen Library materials. Information for Faculty and StaffCurrent employees, Sisters of the Holy Names and faculty who teach at least one course per calendar year may use Summit and access the research databases from off campus. Information for AlumniPersons who have received a degree from Marylhurst University may borrow materials from Shoen Library. However, off-campus access to the research databases is not provided. Information for VisitorsClackamas, Multnomah and Washington county library card holders may borrow Shoen Library materials. Visitors must present a current library card from a public library to register for this service. Off-campus access to the research databases is not provided. Borrowing MaterialsThe Circulation Desk is the place to borrow library materials, pick up Summit and Interlibrary Loan materials and peruse course reserves.
