Students bring to campus a variety of interests. Everyone is encouraged to form and join organizations which promote common student interests and support the Marylhurst mission. As a Marylhurst student, you also may participate in a number of other organizations and opportunities.

SOS (Student Organization for Sustainability)

Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) Student Chapter

The Marylhurst ASCD Student Chapter is designed to accelerate the professional growth of preservice educators and their self-identification as education professionals and leaders. We are committed to improving teacher education and teacher quality. By meaningfully engaging student teachers with ASCD resources and involving them with members of the ASCD community, future educators and leaders gain an edge that energizes and raises their professional performance level.

Future Designers of Marylhurst

The Future Designers of Marylhurst are students from the interior design program who are aiming to further bridge the gap from student life to professionalism by providing supplemental education, networking opportunities and design-project experiences. Any student enrolled in an interior design studio course is automatically a member of this organization.

The Gen-Y Club

The Gen-Y Club represents one of our many diverse population groups on campus. The Gen-Y Club is interested in building a stronger campus presence, developing a more vibrant community, and promoting an active social network with both on-campus and off-campus activities.

Labyrinth Group at Marylhurst

The Labyrinth Group at Marylhurst has among its purposes to raise awareness of the labyrinth as a tool for healing and well being; to build community through use of the labyrinth at Marylhurst University for students, staff, faculty, alumni and administration as well as outreach to the greater community of the region; to encourage renewal, refreshment and reflection for everyone through labyrinth walks and events; to sponsor campus labyrinth events throughout the year; and to vision a permanent outdoor labyrinth on the Marylhurst University campus.

Maribelles
The Maribelles is an all-female a capella group. The focus will be on pop/rock a capella standards, old and new. The group is student run and rehearsal times depend on the schedules of the members.

Marylhurst Gerontology Association

The purpose of the Marylhurst Gerontology Association (MGA) is to share and encourage a new paradigm for aging that recognizes the importance of understanding aging as a natural phenomenon that occurs throughout the life course. We support visionary pilot programs promoting healthy ways of aging and professional advancement and learning, including continuing education for gerontology professionals and those in related fields. While promoting cooperation with other gerontology professionals and student organizations, MGA sponsors and co-sponsors seminars, workshops and guest speakers.

Marylhurst LGBTQ Alliance

The mission of the Marylhurst LGBTQ Alliance is to encourage diversity, inclusion and dialogue in Marylhurst University and Oregon. We seek to help, support and give voice to the LGBTQ community present at Marylhurst University.

Marylhurst Music Therapy Student Organization (MMTSO)

The purpose of MMTSO is to promote, foster and advance the education and training of its members. We seek to promote the education, validity and purpose of the music therapy profession, specifically including the goals and objectives of the American Music Therapy Association.

Marylhurst Psychology Association

The mission and purpose of the Marylhurst Psychology Association (MPA) is to produce well-educated, ethical and socially responsible members committed to contributing to the application and science of psychology and to society in general. Our goals are to encourage public education and awareness of psychological issues across the lifespan, to encourage collaboration between institutions offering psychology programs, to sponsor or co-sponsor seminars, workshops and guest speakers, and to support community outreach activities to promote mental health.

Marylhurst University Biblical Exegesis Society

The purpose of the Biblical Exegesis Society is to explore scripture using the historical critical method of scriptural analysis. It is open to students, alumni, faculty and staff. We provide mentoring for those beginning the process of biblical exegesis. For those with more skill, we offer the opportunity to be mentors and teachers as well as the pursuit of advanced studies with peer input and guidance.

The mission of Marylhurst University's Net Impact Chapter is to inspire, educate and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.

Marylhurst Sweep Rowing Club

All students, staff, and faculty are invited to join the Marylhurst Sweep Rowing club. We value the outdoors and fitness. We partner with the Lake Oswego Row Club to offer a rowing experience on the Willamette River every year.

Marylhurst Writers' Club

The Marylhurst Writers' Club invites writers of all genres to participate in weekly meetings and quarterly open mike events. We provide a venue for all Marylhurst students to receive constructive, friendly feedback on their creative endeavors. Meetings are run on a workshop model and writers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their work for review. Open mike events provide a forum for performers – writers and musicians – to practice public presentations of their creative works. All Marylhurst students are welcome to participate.

MU Omega Student Organization

The MU Omega student organization provides an on-campus association for and recognition of academically outstanding students in higher education, and is devoted to the advancement of scholarship.

The Society of 21-Century Gentlemen
The Society of 21st-Century Gentlemen is a forum for the exploration of masculinity in our post-modern society. There is no longer a simple set of standards for men to follow — every man must choose where his values relate to the men of the past and what kind of role a man should play in the world of the future. The society assists the men of Marylhurst in defining their values in an old fashioned, jolly setting.

The mission of SOLUTIONS is to promote and advance skills in collaboration, conflict resolution, negotiation, advocacy and mediation, and to network with individuals and organizations sharing similar objectives.

Student Organization for Sustainability (SOS)
SOS is committed to creating a more sustainable, thriving world by empowering students to take action within the Marylhurst campus community and beyond. In pursuit of this SOS:
- Fosters cooperation and collaboration among students, faculty, staff, clubs, and organizations in pursuit of environmentally sustainable practices, on and off campus.
- Encourages and assists in the implementation of students' ideas to green the campus.
- Cultivates awareness of students' dedication to sustainability by educating the school and local communities of our current and proposed green initiatives.
