MU Omega Honor SocietyOn June 12, 2009, Marylhurst University inducted nine students into MU Omega, our chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, the national honor society for nontraditional students. Students selected for MU Omega must have a GPA in the top 10% of Marylhurst students and must submit an essay as part of the application process. The following students were inducted into MU Omega for the 2008/2009 academic year: Jonathan Adams, Communication Studies This is a very high honor for our students. As one of many nontraditional students enrolled in classes at Marylhurst University, I bring my life experience, knowledge and unique characteristics to share with others to add depth and greater diversity to the classroom.
Our student body may be of different age groups, racial ethnicity, and income brackets, but what sets us apart is how our past has instilled the drive and desire to engage inside the walls of the collaborate classroom fostered at this liberal arts institution.
