Interior Design Accreditation – Marylhurst Student Achievement

faculty marylhurst circle iconThe Marylhurst University B.F.A. in Interior Design program was the first accredited interior design program in Portland, Oregon by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. CIDA is the national accreditation organization for interior design education, ensuring that our graduates will acquire the skills and knowledge they need to effectively enter the interior design profession.

The following information is provided by Marylhurst University’s Office of Enrollment Management:

  • Graduation rates: 31% of the students from the class of fall 2009 graduated in five years and 8% of the cohort graduated in four years.
  • Retention & attrition: 66% of the students enrolled during the spring 2012 returned in fall 2012, putting attrition at 34%.

The following information is gathered through LinkedIn:

  • Job placement:  50% of students who completed Fourth-Year Studio in 2013 are working in the profession.
  • Acceptance into graduate programs:  No students who completed Fourth-Year Studio in 2013 applied to graduate school.
