Telling Stories, Changing Lives: The Art of Storytelling in the Work of Building Community with Will Hornyak
Will teaches Storytelling in Business Communication at Marylhurst University and assists corporate and nonprofit organizations in telling the stories that reflect their values, vision and mission.
Alumni Reception – Art Therapy/Art Exhibit
Works on display (and for sale) by Marylhurst art / art therapy alumni. Hearty appetizers, beer and wine.
Marylhurst Alumni Stories – “The Moth” Style
We want to hear your five-minute “must-tell” tales of Marylhurst, as inspired by “The Moth” live storytelling sessions. Ten willing alumni will be drawn from a hat for the chance to share their story. For short storytelling tips and tricks, visit themoth.org.

Dessert & The Sisters’ Journey: A Legacy of Faith, Flavia Salon
The Sisters’ Journey: A Legacy of Faith beautifully portrays our Sisters’ incredible journey across a continent — the past that formed our foundation — through musical compositions by Marylhurst students and narration by President Melody Rose. The performance features an ensemble of professional musicians: Hamilton Cheifetz, cello; Todd Kuhns, clarinet; Julia Hwakyu Lee, piano; Jill Soltero, soprano; Polly Hancock, soprano. Conducted by Megan Elliott.
