Lewis & Clarkapproved teach-out agreement

On July 9, 2018, the Board of Trustees at Lewis & Clark approved the transfer of our art therapy program to Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling. Faculty members Mary Andrus and Annie Tabachnick have been invited to teach in the program at Lewis & Clark. Our art therapy collection in Shoen Library will also transfer to Lewis & Clark.

Since the announcement of Marylhurst’s closure, we have been working hard to find the right home for our art therapy program. We feel this is the best option we could have provided our art therapy students under the circumstances.

However, you are not obligated to transfer to Lewis & Clark. You are welcome to choose any transfer option that meets your needs.

You’ll need to authorize Marylhurst to transfer your student record to your new institution. For those of you choosing Lewis & Clark, we’ve made this task easier by creating a form for this purpose. Complete the FERPA release form to transfer your student record to Lewis & Clark and bring or email the signed form to Marylhurst’s Office of the Registrar (registrar@marylhurst.edu).

If you would like to discuss your individual situation, please schedule an appointment with Emily Bonney in our Advising Center or contact Teresa McDowell, chair of the Counseling Psychology Department at Lewis & Clark, at teresamc@lclark.edu.
