Because of the multidisciplinary nature of the degree, you will be well prepared for careers in the nonprofit sector, social services and social work, the legal system, politics and government, community development, public relations, administration, and applied research.
Community and social services sector is expected to grow by 10 percent in the next decade, based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition, more than 257,000 jobs are estimated to be created. The average median salary set just above $42,000 a year.
