As reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the career outlook for music therapists or a music therapy career is expected to grow 13% over the next decade as a result of an aging economy and increased state recognition of the profession.
Completing the Bachelor of Music Therapy program also prepares you for a graduate program in music therapy at any AMTA-approved university offering a master’s degree. Other graduate program options include, but are not limited to, speech therapy, psychology, special education and counseling.
The B.M.T. program is now accepting inquiries and applicants for Fall 2018. Auditions will be held March 2.
Music therapists with a bachelor’s degree are employed in many types of environments, including:
- Residences for developmentally disabled persons
- Mental health clinics

- Hospice programs
- Private practice
- Clinical research centers
- Correctional facilities
- Wellness programs
