The latest report by the World Tourism Organization says international tourism represents 7% of the worldwide exports.

Scholarships for Hospitality Students

Two regional partners are offering Marylhurst University hospitality management students scholarships to complete their bachelor’s degrees.

  • Travel Portland Education Foundation Scholarship – Receive up to $2,500
  • Provenance Hotel Scholarship – Receive up to $3,000

Applicants to the online hospitality management program are considered for these scholarships.

  • Current undergraduate tuition is $463 per credit – most courses are four credits
  • Scholarships available for Hospitality Management- including funding for transfer students
  • Little-to-no fees university – we even have free parking

Approximate cost of the program: $27,780

The total cost was calculated based on the number of credits required in the major (60 credits) multiplied by the current tuition rate of $463 per credit. Cost estimate does not include any fees (which are rare), Marylhurst Core or general elective courses.

Managing the cost of your education can be done in several ways at Marylhurst:

  Transfer in your previous credit: Marylhurst accepts a wide range of transfer credits. Most of our students transfer in credit earned at previous four-year institutions or at a community college.
  Scholarship opportunities: We award about $1 million in scholarships each year, and we offer a scholarship for transfer students as well as military personnel and Phi Theta Kappa members. Provenance Hotels and the Travel Portland Education Foundation have also sponsored scholarships specifically for students in the Hospitality Management program.
  Credit for Prior Learning program: Save on tuition and time to complete your degree by earning credit for previous learning, like work and military experience. Marylhurst is a nationally recognized leader in credit for prior learning. Students who pursue credit for prior learning can save as much as $17,500 in tuition (based on current tuition rates).

Students may enroll any term and begin fulfilling coursework within the Marylhurst Core or general electives. Most students start fall or spring term when hospitality management courses begin.
