Careers: M.A. in Music Therapy at Marylhurst
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is projecting career growth of 13% for therapists, including music therapists over the next decade. Students who specialize in gerontology, business, interdisciplinary studies or counseling will be prepared to meet the growing demand of our increasingly aging and insured populations.
Quickly evolving industry certification requirements will soon prevent new music therapists from entering the market without a master’s in music therapy. This requirement shift has inspired many music therapy professionals in the workforce to further their education, as they recognize the competitive advantage a master’s degree will soon hold in the job market.
Now accepting students for the fall term. Classes start Sept. 26.
