As reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, increased school enrollment is projected to grow the job market for principals, elementary, middle and high school teachers by 6% over the next decade – meaning there is a lot of opportunity to grow your teaching career. Job market growth is also projected at 7% within the same time period for Curriculum Developers as the industry continues to place emphasis on school and educator effectiveness measures.
Increasing regional demand for teachers with capabilities to teach bilingual and/or English language learners is fueled by the region’s changing student demographics. In the near future, all teachers will have some English language learners in their classrooms, and employers recognize that teachers will need to be prepared with skills to ensure all young people are literate and able to contribute to society.
Outside the P-12 system, demand for educational instruction and specifically Corporate Trainers is expected to grow 7%, most noticeably within the finance and insurance industries plagued by regulation changes.
