Ethics, Compliance & Integrity Concerns
for Marylhurst University Faculty and Staff

Marylhurst University is an institution with strong values of responsibility and integrity. We strive to conduct all business matters in line with our Employee Handbook. Our University Business Policy Manual contains general guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics.

Marylhurst University is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable in approaching your supervisor or management in instances where you believe violations of policies or standards have occurred.

To raise a concern or to report potential violations or unethical conduct, an employee may contact his/her immediate supervisor or department head, the Office of Human Resources, Office of the President, or submit information using the reporting form. Using this form, you will have the option to report anonymously, although a contact name and number is appreciated. If you have provided contact information, you will receive an acknowledgement upon receipt of your complaint or concern. Your contact information shall remain confidential and will only be used if additional questions are required to complete an internal investigation.

The information you provide will be sent to individuals you identify on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.

What to Report

An employee need not be absolutely certain that a violation has occurred before making such a report; reasonable belief that a violation is possible is sufficient. Reporting enables Marylhurst to investigate potential problems quickly and to take prompt action to deal with them.

Consequences of Reporting

No employee will be disciplined because he or she made a report in good faith. Where possible, the confidentiality of the employee making the report will be protected.
