Greg Crosby, art therapy counseling and human sciences faculty, will lead a workshop for the Actors Fund of America in New York City in February 2016.
“Both the New York and Los Angeles offices have been using my curriculum to treat their clients in the entertainment industry since 2004,” Crosby said.
Crosby’s workshop is designed for the social work department of the Actors Fund of America, and it covers group preparation and screening, stages of group therapy, special problems within each stage, behavioral and cognitive review, with added skills integrated into brain science. “I will also focus on the Hero’s Journey, a clinical frame I have created to help actors in life transitions,” Crosby added.
The Actors Fund of America is a not-for-profit human services agency that provides a safety net and services for people working professionally in the entertainment Industry.
Greg Crosby teaches in the human sciences and art therapy counseling departments at Marylhurst University. He also presented this workshop for the Actors Fund in Los Angeles in November 2015.
