John Caruso Goes on UK Book Tour

John Caruso, Chuck Caruso, The Lawn Job, Marylhurst UniversityJohn “Chuck” Caruso, literature and writing professor at Marylhurst University, is on a book tour to promote his crime novel, The Lawn Job, released in the United Kingdom on July 21, 2017.

Caruso kicks off his UK book tour at Waterstones bookshop in London’s Kensington district on July 21. The event will feature Caruso in conversation with Alexis Gregory, playwright, actor and producer.

The Lawn Job is Caruso’s first published novel, from Cloud Lodge Books (UK, July 2017; USA, October 2017). It’s dark. And edgy. And it’s set in Portland, Oregon. What more could you want? Perhaps a twisted tale of an ex-con who makes a half-hearted effort at an honest living mowing lawns, but finds he cannot resist the lure of easy money. A simple plan for extortion gets very complicated, very fast, and the thrill is on.

Early reviews of The Lawn Job on GoodReads.com are overwhelmingly positive. Pre-orders for the USA release in October are being taken now on Amazon.com.

Caruso will read from his novel as part of the Marylhurst Reading Series 2017-18 (date to be determined).

John “Chuck” Caruso teaches in the literature and writing program at Marylhurst University. He is a 19th-century Americanist and Poe scholar and author of dark genre fiction. Caruso has been published in numerous magazines and anthologies including Shroud, Dark Discoveries, Big Adios, Shotgun Honey, and Fires on the Plain.
