Online MBA Today ranked the Top 20 Environmental Sustainability MBA programs in the nation – programs designed to help train future business leaders to not only be profitable but responsible – and Marylhurst landed at number nine.
Marylhurst’s MBA in Sustainable Business fared well when compared against other universities on Online MBA Today’s scorecard, which evaluated programs on four factors: affordability, accreditation, early career salary and prestige.
Marylhurst’s program scored high for accreditation, as the university is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and the MBA program has also been accredited through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. MBA Online Today reported a satisfactory return on investment, as Marylhurst’s program falls into their “above average” affordability range ($30,000 – $49,999) and, based on data from the 2016-17 PayScale College Salary Report, is expected to produce an early career salary of $59,900.
Marylhurst was also given high marks for accessibility, as the Marylhurst MBA program offers several start times each year, requires no GMAT scores for incoming students (professional experience is required instead), and delivers courses 100% online in accelerated, five-week formats. In addition to foundation courses in business administration, Marylhurst’s sustainable business curriculum includes courses in Principles of Sustainability, Operations Management, and Alternative and Renewable Energies.
