Marylhurst was ranked in The 10 Best Online Sustainability MBAs by MBACentral.
MBACentral points out that “today’s green economy employs nearly 3.1 million people in the United States,” and that’s why savvy business people are looking to expand their education in sustainable business practices.
Evaluating programs on affordability, support services and quality of classes, MBACentral identified the 10 best MBA in Sustainable Business programs in the country.
The MBA in Sustainable Business at Marylhurst University ranked #6 on MBACentral’s list, in part due to the program’s flexibility, accessibility and support measures for online and nontraditional students.
In addition, Marylhurst was recognized for not requiring a GMAT score from applicants who meet other admission requirements, such as GPA and work experience. The program’s accelerated format – it can be completed in as little 18 months – and the embedding of green practices in the curriculum were also noted by the evaluators. Core courses in the foundations of business, marketing, organizational behavior, managerial economics, managerial accounting, and financial management are supplemented with focused courses in principles of sustainability, operations management, alternative and renewable energies, and environmental law. Coursework culminates in an integrated capstone project, which is both research- and project-based.
