Marylhurst M.B.A. alum Nancy Oliverio ’16 was named Kaiser Permanente Northwest’s first ever Engagement Specialist in April 2017.
In this role, Nancy Oliverio executes strategies to maximize Kaiser Permanente’s visibility and membership growth through measures such as creating opportunities through targeted enrollment activities; establishing/maintaining customer relationships, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding of prospective members; and identifying customer needs and communicating advantages of Kaiser Permanente to meet those needs.
Prior to working for Kaiser Permanente, Nancy had a career in customer service and sales in the banking industry. She was hired by Kaiser Permanente just as she was completing her M.B.A. in Health Care Management.
“My education pursuit in health care later in life is driven by the recognition to fulfill what I can only describe as my calling to be a part of health care development that will benefit society,” Nancy explains. Transitioning from the finance industry to health care “made me aware that money is not necessarily the absolute solution to problems.”
Nancy Oliverio earned her M.B.A. in Health Care Management with a concentration in gerontology from Marylhurst University in 2016.
