Sheila O’Connell-Roussell Leads Workshop

Sheila O'Connell-Roussell - Faculty - MarylhurstSheila O’Connell-Roussell, religious studies faculty, leads a workshop titled Lighting the Way: Preparing for Advent at St. Pius X Community Center on Dec. 3, 2016.

In this half-day workshop, Dr. O’Connell-Roussell will show participants how to step back from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and transform Advent from a time of busyness to a time of rest. This workshop is sponsored by St. Pius X Parish Women’s Club and Women’s Faith Formation.

A registration fee of $10, payable by check (made out to SPXWC), covers the presentation and a continental breakfast. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Program begins at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude by noon.

St. Pius X Community Center is located at 1260 NW Saltzman Road, Portland, 97229. 

Dr. Sheila O’Connell-Roussell teaches in the Master of Divinity and M.A. in Applied Pastoral Theology programs at Marylhurst University. Her expertise is in pastoral theology, scripture studies and hermeneutics. She has worked in the parish, conducted a private practice in spiritual direction and pastoral counseling, and taught in elementary, secondary and university classrooms.
